Certainly, there was a basketball game going on at Kokomo High School's Memorial Gymnasium Feb. 14. Richmond traveled to the City of Firsts, only to get a bitter Valentine -- a 96-90 loss to the Wildkats.
But there was so much more than basketballs and a little love in the air that night. The evening was also Senior Night for the basketball team and the cheerleading squad.
Each senior player and cheerleader was accompanied by family to center court where there received a warm greeting from the crowd and a host of commemorative gifts from their teammates and friends.
The evening also marked the final night for the senior cheerleaders to get the crowd rowdy at home, as the Wildkats finish the regular season on a three-game road trip.
And, as a final send-off, the Kokomo Flipsters' Cheer Stars entertained at halftime.
