William H. “Bill” Faulkner Jr.
William H. “Bill” Faulkner Jr., 62, of Russiaville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. He was born September 9, 1962, in Kokomo to William H. & Waneda (Whittaker) Faulkner. He married Truletta “Trudy” Rains on December 25, 1989, in Kokomo, and she survives.
Bill was a jack of all trades but spent most of his career as a roofer. He was a huge family man and would do anything to help his kids and grandkids. He never met a stranger and loved to share stories with anyone who would listen. He was a great mechanic and enjoyed helping his friends and family fixing their cars. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and throwing darts.
He is survived by his wife Trudy Faulkner of Russiaville; his children, Chris (Ashlee) Bryant of Kokomo; Jason (Kira) Faulkner, of Kokomo; Joyce Faulkner of Louisville, KY; John (Liz) Faulkner, of Kokomo; Monte Faulkner of Kokomo, and Robert (Ashley) Faulkner of Kokomo. Surviving grandchildren include Branden, Krystal, Gabrielle, Arieonna, Addison, James, Zackery, Xavier, Avery, Karley, Lillian, Autumn, Kaseyn and Kamdyn. He is also survived by one brother, John W. Faulkner of Delphi; and two sisters, Voneda (Tim) McClay, Kokomo; and Barbara (Simon) Rhea of Alaska. Bill has several aunts, uncles, and cousins that also mourn his passing. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation in Indiana will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2025, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, and visitation in Williamsburg, Kentucky, will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Maple Creek United Baptist Church from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Curtis Vanover officiating. Bill will be laid to rest in Maple Creek Cemetery.

Winifred “Winni” E. (Stroup) Rockey-Campbell
Winifred “Winni” E. (Stroup) Rockey-Campbell, 82, Kokomo, passed away at 5:32 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born in Russiaville to the late John E. and Mary E. (Tobias) Stroup. On February 15, 1963, she married Charles V. Rockey in Kokomo, who preceded her in death on May 31, 2007. On November 14, 2007, she married Ben Campbell in Kokomo, who preceded her in death on May 6, 2020.
Winni graduated from Western High School in 1960 and received her Cosmetology Certificate in 1962 from Glamour Girl Beauty School. She continued her education by getting certified as EMT in 1982 and worked for the Russiaville Ambulance Service for five years. She drove a school bus for Western School Corporation for 31 years and retired in 2008. Winni was a member of the First Church of Nazarene and Alto United Methodist Church. She loved Southern Gospel music and sang with “Family Ties” for seven years and loved every moment ministering her love of God to everyone through song. She had a passion for making ceramic dolls which she did for a couple of years; each of her girls has one to treasure.
Winni is survived by her children Lesa Lynn Rockey (Phil) Gross, Monica Jo Rockey Greengard, and Jennifer Ann Rockey (Craig) Lewis; grandchildren Bethany Bailey, Dakota (Shayna McCreary) Goodman, Molly Lewis, Maggie Lewis, and Briana (Paul) Downing; great-grandchildren Brantley Bailey, Karsen Bailey, Athena Goodman, and Luna Goodman; sister Rachel (John) Rosborough; nieces Lori (Ty) Thomas, Angie (Kenny) Humble, and Elizabeth (Clayton) Ferguson; and nephew Andrew (Brooke) Rosborough.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Chuck Rockey and Ben Campbell; son Charles D. Rockey; brothers Randy, Russell, and John Stroup; and her dog, Tilly.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Russiaville Friends Church, 270 E Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Billy Martin officiating. Martha Ann Holderith
Martha Ann Holderith, passed away on January 1, 2025, at 12:15 p.m. at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo. She was born on September 14, 1928, in Kokomo to the late Frank and Mary (Reichert) Holderith.
Martha went to St. Patrick School in Kokomo and graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Tipton. She lived on her family's farm her entire life.
Her parents, sister, and brother preceded her in death.

George Robert Troyer
George Robert Troyer, 80, of Kokomo, passed away 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel. He was born in Peru, IN, on March 31, 1944, the son of the late Edward Troyer Jr. and Marybelle (Schafer) Troyer. He married Jane Ann Berglan the day of the Palm Sunday tornado, April 11, 1965, and Jane Ann survives.
George was a 1962 graduate of Northwestern High School. He attended DeVry Technical Institute and became an Electrician Journeyman in 1963. He worked as a National Cash Register Serviceman from 1963 to 1964. He retired in 1999 from Delco Electronics as an electrician, where he served more than 30 years. George was first and foremost a family man. He loved completing projects with his sons, attending his grandchildren’s activities, and family camping trips. George was a faithful member of Kokomo Zion Church, where he served on several committees and operated the audio equipment. He enjoyed watching drag racing and planning car rallies. George’s favorite hobbies were repairing engines, fishing, woodworking, and building and flying radio-controlled planes.
In addition to his wife of nearly 60 years, George is survived by his sons Jerry (Sherrie) Troyer, Forest, IN, Jeff (Jennifer) Troyer, Kokomo, IN, and Joe (Kate) Troyer, Schaumburg, IL; grandchildren Hannah Troyer, Sam Troyer, Jasmine Troyer, Isabelle Troyer, and Erin Troyer; sisters Ruth (John) Bracht and Martha Troyer; sisters-in-law Onda Stroup and Mary Troyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward Troyer Sr. and Georgia Troyer, Oris and Nina Schafer; parents Edward Troyer Jr. and Marybelle (Schafer) Troyer; brothers Howard Troyer and Tom Troyer; sisters-in-law Phyllis Berglan and Cindy Troyer; and brothers-in-law Harry Berglan Jr., Harold Berglan, and Merval Berglan.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Kokomo Zion Church, 5051 County Rd. E. 400 N., Kokomo, IN 46901. Funeral service will begin 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, at the church, with Pastor Keith Chanley officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Zion Cemetery. Paulette Roach
Paulette Roach, age 75, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024. She was born in Arkansas on June 22, 1949, to the late Andrew and Bonnie Jones. Paulette married Ronnie Roach on September 10, 1966, who preceded her in death on May 2, 2024.
Paulette graduated from Kokomo High School and later in life earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University. She dedicated her career to caring for others, working at various nursing homes and serving as a home health care nurse.
A true pillar of support, Paulette was an active and enthusiastic participant in her sons’ athletic lives, always there on the sidelines, cheering them on at every game and event.
Her commitment to their success was evident in her involvement with the Tri-Central Booster Club, where she worked tirelessly running the concession stands to help raise funds for the teams. Her efforts in strengthening the Tri-Central sports teams were great, and she touched the lives of many athletes through her efforts.
Paulette was a devoted New York Yankees fan, always cheering for the team with great enthusiasm. Her love for baseball was balanced by her sharp perspective, as she analyzed the game with insight, reflecting her dedication and strong opinions.
Paulette was proud of her 57 years of marriage to Ronnie, her three sons, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Paulette is survived by three sons Michael Roach, Greg (Heather) Roach, and Eddie (Pam) Roach; nine grandchildren Gabe, Conor, Sarah, Zach, Ellie, Bry, Addy, Emily, and Kyla; and one great-grandchild Stevie.
Entombment will take place on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana. Pastor Dave Osborne will be officiating.
Madonna Nix
Madonna Nix, age 62, of Kokomo, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024. She was born on April 21, 1962, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Thomas and Rosemary (Haxton) Nix.
Madonna was a 1980 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Madonna was known for her warm smile, unwavering faith, and generous spirit. She found joy in watching Jeopardy, playing pool, and spending time with her dog, Cappy. Her laughter lit up every room she entered.
She is survived by her children Clairessa (Ethan) Nix, Quentin Nix, and Xavier Nix; grandson Demi Nix; brothers Kurt (Jill) Nix and Karl Nix; and sister Loretta (Chuck) Walker. Her legacy lives on in their hearts and the lives they touch.
In addition to her parents, Madonna was preceded in death by her beloved brothers Leo Nix, and Paul Nix; her nephew Seth Walker; and sister-in-law Mary Jo Nix, whose memories she carried close to her heart.
Madonna Nix will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
