Tina Louise Irish-Stokes
Tina Louise Irish-Stokes, 49, of Kokomo, passed away December 26, 2024, from complications with diabetes. She was born June 27, 1975, in Kokomo, IN, the daughter of Susan Fisher Lake. Tina married Charles Stokes, who survives.
Surviving are her two sons, Tanner Irish and Samual Irish; mother, Susan; father Fred Lake; brothers, Greg Fisher Jr. (Megan) of Kokomo, Steve Lake (Jessica) of Texas; sister, Julia Thomas (Damon) of Texas; niece and nephews Lily Fisher, Christian Thomas and Eli Thomas; mother and father in-laws, Wanda and Don Carroll of Tipton; as well as several other close relatives and many, many friends.
Tina is preceded in death by her brother, Jonathon Fisher, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tina was always the life of the party. She definitely loved her family and friends. She was a manager at Tom Thumb and was very involved with We Care. She had a special bond with her friends at “The Thumb” and pretty much anyone she came into contact with.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Kokomo or to The American Diabetes Association.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 3, from 2-6 PM for family and friends. Funeral service starts at 6 p.m. and will end in the chapel. There will NOT be a cemetery service after.
Judy M. Bender
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Judy M. Bender, who departed this life on December 27, 2024, at the age of 96. Born on June 25, 1928, Mrs. Bender led a life characterized by grace, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her community.
Mrs. Bender will be remembered for her warm smile and her commitment to helping others. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many and left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation will be held in her honor on January 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Second Missionary Baptist Church, located at 818 N. Apperson Way, Kokomo, IN 46901. This gathering will be a time for family and friends to come together, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable life of Mrs. Bender.
Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. All who knew Mrs. Bender are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects.
As we remember Mrs. Judy M. Bender, we reflect on her enduring spirit and the legacy of love she leaves behind. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Leslie M. Washington
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ms. Leslie M. Washington, who left us on December 26, 2024. Born on August 9, 1958, Leslie touched the lives of many throughout her journey, embodying kindness and compassion in her interactions with friends and family.
A graveside service to honor her memory will be held at Crown Point Cemetery, located at 1101 E Sycamore St, Kokomo, IN 46901. The service will take place on January 4, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, with the conclusion of the service set for 12:00 PM.
Leslie's legacy of warmth and generosity will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. She will be dearly missed, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she inspired.
Merrill "Butch" Ray Mumaugh
Merrill "Butch" Ray Mumaugh, 86, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away December 28, 2024. He was born on May 13, 1938, in Kokomo, IN, the son of Clifford Ray and Lillian Mumaugh (Spaulding). He married Connie Mumaugh (Acord) who survives.
Merrill loved his family and spending time with them. Husband, father, grandfather, and Poppy; he took each of those roles seriously. We were honored to be the tokens of his love and pride. His love for us, his work ethic, his values and convictions will forever be his legacy. Merrill was a veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 59 years, Connie Mumaugh; daughters, Tonya Mumaugh and Lisa Mumaugh Rush all of Kokomo, IN; grandson, Aaron Bass (Kayla) of Cicero, IN; great granddaughter, Alaina Bass.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
