Michael Wayne Jeffers

Michael Wayne Jeffers, 63, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 21, 2024. He was born on January 26, 1961, to the late William Thomas and Marjorie Kathleen (Denman) Jeffers. On April 20, 1991, he married his childhood love Melissa P. Smithson in Burlington, and she survives.

After participating in band and wrestling as well as being inducted into the National Honor Society, Michael graduated from Western High School in 1979. Next, he went to Purdue University to pursue a degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education. While at college, Michael was accepted into the Tau Gamma chapter of the Zeta Psi Fraternity. From a young age, Michael had a strong work ethic. After participating in various jobs as a child and young man, he found a career at Acraline Products.

Michael enjoyed the music of the ‘80s; especially that of Boston, Styx, and Rush. Michael loved blueberries, especially when they were in pies or muffins. He was also an outdoorsman, starting from his time in the Boy Scouts, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and simply sitting around a campfire. However, most of all, his greatest joy and accomplishment in life was spending time with his family, stating that what he wanted most was a happy, healthy family.

Along with his wife Melissa, Michael is survived by their children, Anthony Jeffers, Christina Jeffers, and son-in-law Eli Leuck.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, December 27, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Jeff Haill officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses. Phyllis Jean Campbell

Phyllis Jean Campbell, 73, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away December 24, 2024. She was born on January 17, 1951, in Myrtle, Missouri, the daughter of Paul H. and Charlene E. Brewer (Clark). On November 8, 1969, she married Dale Campbell, who survives.

Phyllis retired from Delco Electronics after 30 years of service. After retirement, Phyllis and Dale spent the past 22 years in Bonita Springs, FL, during the winters. She loved family get-togethers. She also loved spending time with her grandsons Lucas and Dylan, "Thursday Girls Nights" with her sister Lisa, niece Tammy, and daughter Stacy, and her dog Brandy Jean. She loved going to her favorite restaurants with her husband Dale and son Jason. She enjoyed going out dancing and listening to a band. She also loved hearing her son Jason sing at Karaoke nights.

Surviving relatives include her husband Dale Campbell of Kokomo, IN; daughter, Stacy Barkley (Greg) of Russiaville, IN; son, Jason Campbell (Cindy) of Rochester, IN; grandsons, Lucas and Dylan, brothers, Dennis Brewer (Janet) of Galveston, IN; Mike Brewer (April) of Naples, FL; sister, Lisa Augustine of Greentown, IN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave and Kathy Campbell, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Mark Brewer, sisters-in-law Michelle Brewer, Gwyn Brewer, niece Christi Brewer, and great nephew Austin Boyles.

Ted William Meadows

Ted William Meadows, 61, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away December 23, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 25, 1963, in Kokomo, IN, the son of Edward and Mary Louise (Beckom) Horoho. He married Julie (Glassburn) Meadows, who survives. He was a tool and die journeyman for many years. Ted enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo, and loved playing Poker. He was an avid Colts and Cubs fan. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity. Ted also volunteered in the Sound Room at OBV and volunteered for We Care.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 36 years, Julie; Troy (Sara) Meadows, Nick (Destiny) Meadows; Michael (Sierra) Meadows; grandchildren, Ashton Young, Cameron Young, Sophia Meadows, Liam Meadows, Gracelynn Miller; siblings, Melody (Greg) Sumpter, Lori (Todd Davis) Horner, Tim (Penny) Meadows; mother, Mary Louise (Jim) Horoho; father-in-law, David (Eugenia) Glassburn; brothers-in-law, David (Rebecca) Glassburn, Mike (Jodi) Glassburn, Kenny (Jamie) Glassburn; sister-in-law, Patti Steel; best friends, Craig Carter, Kerry Ferre, Casey Braden; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends of Old Bridge Village of North Fort Myers.

Ted was preceded in death by father, Edward, and sons, Jacob and Justin.
