Melissa Ann King
Melissa Ann King, 56, of Kokomo, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. She was born February 16, 1968, in Indianapolis, to Larry and Jeanie (Fish) Blake. On February 6, 1989, she married Raymond Joseph King, in Wabash, and he survives.
Melissa graduated from Borah High School in Boise, Idaho. She later served in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Levi (Amanda) King, Josiah King, and Elijah King; grandchildren, Lilly King, Makenna King, Noah King, Luke King, and Grace King; her parents, Larry and Jeanie Blake; siblings, Robert Blake and Debbie Marshall; uncle, Jerry Fish; and cousins, Patricia Lynn Fish Snow.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Mike Ennis officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Marion National Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Melissa’s memory to the Disabled American Veterans.
