Linda K. Baer

Linda K. Baer, 66, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at her home. She was born November 13, 1957, in Torrance, California, to Edward Lee and Molly Lee (Weaver) Smith. She married David E. Baer on June 12, 1976, in Logansport. David preceded her in death on March 26, 2020.

Linda lived to serve people. She retired from Mr. Happy Burger in Logansport with over 34 years’ service. She was always the happiest serving others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving family include her three daughters, Heather Baer, Alisha Baer, and Angela (David) Klein, all of Logansport. Her grandchildren, Ashton, Kaidynz, Savanna, Elliot, Alexis, Atley and Trenton. She was also looking forward to the arrival of her first great grandson Rylan Grey Klein who is on the way. Linda is also survived by siblings, Cathy Smith of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Gene Smith of Mooresville, Indiana, and Tina Huffman of Henderson, Nevada. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband David.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating. Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband David in the Galveston Cemetery.



Larry Louis Lytle

Larry Louis Lytle, 84, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on September 5, 2024, at The Gardens Health & Rehab Center. He was born on May 31, 1940, the son of Everett W. and Alice A. (Wolf) Lytle. On February 14, 2000, he married Julia “Julie” Nielsen, and she survives.

Larry attended Burlington High School. He proudly served in the United States Army earning the rank SP 5. Larry retired from Delco Electronics. He enjoyed hunting and saltwater fishing.

Along with his wife, Julie, he is survived by his children, Jeff (Corinne) Lytle, and Shelly (Robert) Wiles; stepchildren, Cheryl Woodward, Roger Miller, Lois Rizzieri, Christina Medel, and Trudy O’Dell; grandchildren; Brandi (Brett) Butler, Brooke (Wylan) Graybill, Brady (Sydney) Wiles, Michael Woodward, Rebecca Lichwalla, Temperance Woodward, Nathan Woodward, Ashley Woodward, Roger Miller III, Shauna Miller, Jessica Hull, Anthony Rizzieri, Ciara Miller, Marcella Medel, and Christina Alberti; and 23 great grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Everett & Alice Lytle; brothers, Bill Lytle Jr., Bob Lytle, and Everette Lytle; and sister, Peggy Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Faith Church of Christ, 1701 Michigan Rd., Burlington, IN, with Pastors Dave Falkenberg and Daniel Stephens officiating. Entombment will be held at Sunset Memory Garden. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Burlington Park for the future restoration of the Veterans’ Memorial. Stout & Son Funeral Home & crematory has been entrusted with arrangements. Sue Stamps

Carolyn Sue Stamps, affectionately known as Sue to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, at her birthplace and lifetime home in Tipton, Indiana. Born on July 25, 1955, Sue's journey through life was marked by her unwavering kindness, her creative spirit, and her deep love for her family, friends, and cherished pets.

Sue was the beloved companion of Rex Stamps for an impressive 54 years, and together they built a life filled with joy and mutual respect. She was a devoted mother to her son, Eldon (Kristen) Stamps, and a proud grandmother to Jenna, Kayla, and Cassie Stamps, who will cherish her memory and the love she showered upon them.

Sue was the daughter of the late Azalea Harpe and Edith Warner-Harpe and is survived by her caring brother, Allen Harpe. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Amber Harpe. Her dogs, Etta Mae and Olivia, were her constant companions, providing comfort and joy throughout her life.

A 1999 graduate of the Ivy Tech nursing program, Sue dedicated herself to a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) until her retirement in 2015. Her years at IU Hospital in Tipton and Miller’s Merry Manor were marked by the compassionate care she provided to her patients, earning her the respect and admiration of both colleagues and those she served.

Sue's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. An avid sports enthusiast, she relished the excitement of football season and the thrill of drag racing. Her artistic talents were evident in the beautiful crafts she created, from painting signs and wreaths to designing epoxy cups. Sue also had a green thumb, lovingly tending to her terrariums, which were a testament to her patience and attention to detail.

British television held a special place in Sue's heart, providing her with endless entertainment and a touch of the culture she admired. Her favorite shows were a source of relaxation and pleasure, often sparking lively conversations with friends and family.

Those who knew Sue would describe her as loving, generous, and creative. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel valued and understood, and her generosity knew no bounds. Her creativity was not just a hobby but a way of connecting with others, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure to know her.

Sue's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the beautiful objects she crafted with her hands. Her life was a tapestry of the relationships she nurtured, the care she provided, and the creativity she shared with the world. She will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her warmth and generosity.

As we say farewell to Carolyn Sue Stamps, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that brought joy to those around her. Her spirit will live on through the memories she created with those she loved and the impact she had on her community. Sue's life was a testament to the beauty that can be found in everyday moments and the importance of cherishing those we hold dear.
