Rosemary Ricketts

Rosemary Ricketts (Granny), 98, was embraced by the arms of God on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Rosemary was born on August 2, 1926, to Carl Bettner and Bertha (Short) Bettner in Greensburg, Indiana. She spent her childhood with her many siblings, helping their father run the family Tool and Die company.

Later in life, Rosemary married her late husband, William Ricketts, at the young age of 17 in Rushville, Indiana, on May 20, 1944. God blessed Rosemary with three beautiful daughters: Helen Pierson, who welcomed Rosemary at heaven's gates, Janice (Ronald) McKinney, and Kelli (Chuck) Hansel. Rosemary was also blessed to be a grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Rosemary was a devoted Christian. She was always teaching those around her about the glory and love of Christ, which she carried within her heart. Rosemary could always be found reading her Bible, no matter the time of day or night. She made sure her loved ones were saved in Christ’s name, so that one day, we all might be reunited with her in the Great Kingdom of God.

Rosemary was known by many names, but her favorite was Granny. She will always be our Granny. We are all so blessed to have had such a beautiful, loving, and strong woman to look up to throughout the years. Rosemary will always be the foundation of our family, and she will be missed dearly.
