Steven Michael McCombs, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024, in his hometown of Kokomo, Indiana. Born on November 9, 1959, Steven's life was a testament to the power of love, humor, and selflessness.

Steven's journey began in Kokomo, where he was born and raised, and where he would eventually build his own legacy. On February 10, he married the love of his life, Mary (Corn) McCombs, who survives him. Together, they shared a family filled with laughter and love. He is survived by his loving children Jessica and husband Nathaniel Seagrave, Cody McCombs, Steven and wife Donal (Groover) McCombs, Cheyenne McCombs, and Brandon McCombs and his fiance Sha’Rae Webb. His dedication to his work was matched only by his dedication to his family and friends.

Steven's interests were as big as his heart. He was an adventurous soul who loved traveling to Tennessee, Las Vegas, and Florida. His grandchildren fondly remember him as an ornery Papaw, teaching them to be just as mischievous as he was. His playful spirit earned him a variety of nicknames from his grandchildren, including Papaw Yeehaw, Papaw Poopy head, Papaw Hee-haw, Papaw Jackass, and, upon becoming a great-grandfather, Papaw "The Great" Jackass.

Those who knew Steven will remember him as a man who was loving, funny, and selfless. He had the unique ability to fill a room with laughter and warmth, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the memories he created with his family and friends.
