Bill W. Clinton
Bill W. Clinton, 72, of Walton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 9, 2024, at his home. He was born February 23, 1951, in Tipton, Indiana to Frank and Maudie (Rush) Clinton. He married Teresa L. Rush on July 14, 1979, and she survives.
Bill was a beloved teacher at Lewis Cass for over 39 years. He began his teaching career in 1974 at Lewis Cass and retired in 2013. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana State University and his master’s from I.U. He later became a Purdue fan to support his children in their education endeavors. He enjoyed mowing the yard, growing his garden, fishing, working on Coca-Cola puzzles and having breakfast with his buddies at McDonald’s in Logansport every morning. He adored his family and looked for any opportunity to play with his grandchildren and devoted much of his time to each of them. He was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving family include his wife Teresa of Walton; his children, Brice (Ali) Clinton of Carmel, IN; Kile A. (Kristen) Clinton of Converse, IN; Lauren (Kurt) Hohenberger, Leland, IL; and Morgan (Omar Gonzalez) Clinton of Galveston, IN. Surviving grandchildren include, Kendall Clinton, Natalie, Sarah and Millie Hohenberger, Anderson and Isla Clinton, Maude, Ximena, Sebastian, and Gianna Gonzalez. Bill is also survived by siblings, Linda Vollbrecht, Lane Clinton, Sue Meteer, Joanne Smith, Louise Swanson and Louis Clinton. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Terry Clinton and special aunt, Wilda Rush.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Walton IOOF Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Cass Scholarship fund in Bill’s memory. Penny Jo Johnson
Penny Jo Johnson, 70, of Kokomo, IN passed away February 8, 2024. She was born on April 8, 1953, in Kokomo, IN the daughter of James Poling Sr. and Patricia Poling (Coulburn).
Penny retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo after 27 years of service. She enjoyed volunteering at the Bingo Hall and traveling. Penny was very family oriented and never met a stranger.
She was survived by her loving husband Daniel Johnson; daughters, Kelly Hudson and Jennifer Norfleet (Jesse); grandchildren, Nicholas, Josh, Jessica (Dan), Jaden; sister and brother, Jimmy Poling (Reggie) and Sherry Hudson (Glenn); and was Aunt Penny to Heather Marie Cox (Jerry) and Christopher Glenn Hudson (Kristy) and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and Elvis Presley.
A memorial gathering will be from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, IN 46902.
Kathleen "Kathy” Elaine Wolfe
Kathleen "Kathy” Elaine Wolfe, age 74, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024. She was born in to the late Faye and Mildred (Irene) Smith. Kathy married Howard Wolfe on January 6, 1978, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2016.
Kathy retired from Delco Electronics in 1998 after 30 years and one day of employment. She was a member of the UAW #292. Kathy was an excellent quilter and seamstress. She was a member of New Life Church. In her earlier years, she taught the youth at Hopewell Methodist Church. Kathy enjoyed going to the lake cottage with her son and daughter-in-law. She was also a member of a Euchre club.
Surviving is her son, Joe (Rhonda) Wolfe; and brother, John (Mary) Smith; and sister-in-law, Diane Smith.
Preceded in death is her loving husband of 38 years, Howard; and brother, Thomas Smith.
There will be a time of visitation for Kathy on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, In. Pastor Devin Galloway will be officiating. Burial will follow to Tetersburg Cemetery in Tipton County.
Marilyn A. Cliffins
Marilyn A. Cliffins passed away on February 9, 2024, in Kokomo, IN, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 26, 1971, in Harvey, IL, to Joann McDaniel-Felton (Eddie) and Martin McDaniel, Marilyn's vivacity and warmth were evident from her earliest days. She grew up as the beloved middle child, flanked by her sisters, Janice Carradine (Bam) and Tanisha McDaniel (Steven), and was a cherished presence in the lives of her niece Keyaunna Bunch and nephews Antjuan Smith, Terrell Wilkerson and Jimmie Carradine (Rashe). Marilyn was the glue of her family, bonding generations with her laughter and love, while her grandparents, Odell and Mary Dyson, and Earl and Luvenia Bean, and nephew Derrick Wilkerson who predeceased her, would have been proud of the woman she became.
Marilyn dedicated over 20 years of her life to the field of behavioral health nursing, where her generosity of spirit and keen insight helped countless individuals on their journey to wellness. She was as much a pillar in her professional community as she was in her personal life, always going above and beyond to support her colleagues and those under her care. Her adventurous nature led her to be involved in various associations within her field, where she was known for her innovative ideas and boundless energy.
Beyond her professional achievements, Marilyn was a woman of many passions. Her love for gardening saw her home bloom with life, mirroring the joy she cultivated in her relationships. Interior decorating was another canvas for her creativity, her home a testament to her eye for beauty and her ability to create warm and inviting spaces.
Those who knew Marilyn would describe her as adventurous, always ready to embark on a new journey or experience. Her humor was a source of delight for all who encountered it, and her generous nature knew no bounds. She was the kind of person who would give without expecting anything in return, her heart as open and expansive as the sky.
Marilyn is survived by her loving mother, Joann McDaniel-Felton (Eddie), her father, Martin McDaniel, her sisters, Janice Carradine (Bam) and Tanisha McDaniel (Steven), her niece, Keyaunna Bunch, her nephew, Antjuan Smith, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who will miss her deeply. Her presence will be dearly missed, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we say goodbye to Marilyn A. Cliffins, we celebrate the remarkable life she led and the countless lives she touched. Her spirit will continue to guide us, just as the flowers she so loved will return with each spring, reminding us of the natural cycle of life and the enduring beauty of her soul. Marilyn's life was a testament to the power of love, laughter, and the pursuit of passion. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of all who loved her.
