Edward Allen Cobb

Edward Allen Cobb went to be with Christ Sunday morning, June 4, 2023. Ed was born September 10, 1962, in Savannah, Georgia, to his mother Barbara Davis. A few years later, Glenn Taylor took on the roll of Ed's father. Ed has five siblings, Shirley Borchers, Budd Cobb, Erik Cobb, Earl Cobb, and Bruce Taylor.

Ed attended and graduated from Lodi High School in 1980. He spent his 20’s doing many forms of jobs that required him to be outside while living with his brothers. He also served in the Army Reserves and served in Kuwait in the early 90’s. He later settled in Kokomo, Indiana, where he met his first wife, Laurie Day, and they had three children, Alexander Cobb, Nicholas Cobb (grandchildren; Aryanna Johnson and Moxxi), and Ashley Bowlin (grandchildren; Isabella Miller, Colton Miller, and Harrison Bowlin.) They separated on January 2, 1992. In 2003, Ed met Sharmila Hiralal, the love of his life while doing what he enjoyed, working on a project outside. They made a beautiful family out of that love for each other when they brought Preston M. Cobb and Erik J. Cobb into the world.

After living in Florida for a few years, Ed made a friend, Steve Worthington. He would help Steve run his tree removal business for many years. Sharmila and Ed also opened their door to Ed’s best friend Mike Smith. They lived together and worked together at Gold Coast Beverage before Mike had to return back to Indiana. Ed was still working with Interplex Sunbelt as maintenance and facilities coordinator. He was very mechanically inclined and loved his work and everyone he worked with. Food was his love language, and he would frequently come to work with food for everyone. Ed never met a stranger. He was a friend to the world and everyone in it.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Barbara; his father, Glenn; and his brother, Bruce.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Sharpsville Chapel, 204 N. Church St., Sharpsville. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery.
