Michelle K. McSkimming, a beacon of laughter and courage, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, in Peru, Indiana, at the age of 36. Born on March 27, 1988, in Granite City, Illinois, Michelle's vibrant spirit and intelligent mind were evident from a young age.

Michelle was the cherished daughter of Hughe McSkimming and Charlotte Frazer, who instilled in her a strong sense of family and love. She grew up alongside her devoted siblings Bonita Womack and Richard Womack (married to Cassie), who admired her for her wit and strength.

A proud graduate of Granite City High School, Michelle's educational journey laid the foundation for her role as a stay-at-home mom, a job she embraced with all her heart and soul. Her children San'Trese O. Lucas, Quinstavis Lucas, and Precious Lucas, were the center of her universe. She poured her boundless love and energy into their lives, guiding them with a gentle hand and a wise word.

Michelle's role as a mother extended to her nieces and nephews—Nevaeh Bonita, Athena, Kartrell, Quency, DaMarion, Jayden, Caiden, Malachi, Charles, Zayen, and Rye'yon—who adored their aunt for her playful nature and the way she could effortlessly make them smile. Her love continued to shine brightly in the eyes of her grandchild Legacy Lucas, whom she adored with every fiber of her being.
