Lloyd Randolph Morgan
Lloyd Randolph Morgan, age 96, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. He was born September 19, 1928, in Paoli, Indiana, to Oliver and Jennie (Walton) Morgan. Lloyd was a 1947 graduate of Paoli High School. He married Marilyn Sue Miller on June 19, 1948. They were married for 56 years before her passing. He was a member of Main Street Methodist Church (Kokomo) and an active member of Cypress Lake UMC in Ft. Myers, Florida. He retired from Delco Electronics in 1986 after working 38 years in "the crib." He was a 32nd degree Master Mason, member of the Shriners and Order of the Eastern Star, Elks Lodge, and The Order of the Moose.
Lloyd is survived by: his three sons Lloyd "Jim" (Kathy) Morgan and William "Bill" (Diana) Morgan, both of Kokomo, Indiana, and Robert "Bob" Morgan of St. Petersburg, Florida; his daughter Judy (Greg) Fretwell of Ft. Myers, Florida; sister Goldie Snavely; grandchildren Jennifer (Mark) Phillips, Angie Morgan, Matt (Sherry) Morgan, and Jason Morgan; and several great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Jennie and three brothers: Roy Morgan, Bernard Morgan, and Merle Morgan.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his Masonic Funeral Service, at 12:45 p.m. Entombment will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lloyd's honor to the Naphtali Masonic Lodge #389, 3767 300 S., Kokomo, IN 46902.

Franklin Delano Lay
Franklin Delano Lay, 91, went home to his heavenly father and all those loved ones who were waiting patiently for him on Sunday, March 16. Dad was born on August 3, 1933, in Sharps Chapel, TN, the son of Floyd and Sarah (Shoffner) Lay. On Feb. 11, 1953, he married Emma Jean Williams.
Dad loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. He was a man who held family very close and dear to his heart. When he was able, he always tried to be at every event that involved his children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren. He cherished every minute spent with family. We thank you, Dad, for being a living example of what being a good Dad is.
We mourn our loss deeply but rejoice knowing that he is in Heaven with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and reunited with mom and all his family who went there before him.
Surviving are: daughters Norma Jean Davidson and husband Gene, New Haven, IN, and Wanda Kay Grant and husband Scott, Kokomo; a son Stanley Kent Lay, Logansport, and fiancée Irene Brantley, Kokomo; grandchildren Tina Joshua and husband Matt, Amanda Grant and Josh Terry, Jamey Davidson and wife Jen, Jason Davidson and wife Raegan, Daniel Grant and wife Abby, and Jennifer McKibben and husband Gary; sister Elizabeth Johnson and husband Paul, Kokomo, IN; sisters-in-law Carlene Lay (Harold "Sandy" Lay) and Libby Lay (Hiram "H.C." Lay); great-grandchildren Alyssa, Trevor, Tiana, Elise, Aubrey, Huxley, Harrison, Harper, Mackenzie, Oliver, Alexandria, and Hobson; and great-great-grandchildren Laila, Raine, and soon-to-be Rio.
He was preceded in death by his wife Emma Jean Lay, parents Floyd and Sarah (Shoffner) Lay, sisters Edith Beason and Wanda Williams, and brothers Raymer Lay, Harold “Sandy” Lay, and Hiram “H.C.” Lay.
A visitation for Franklin will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Pastor David Wheeler of Johnson Bible College will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Garden. John “Jon” Kennedy Burton
John “Jon” Kennedy Burton, 59, of Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025. He was born on March 18, 1965, the son of Carol Ann (Brent) Burton. On February 5, 2005, in Kokomo, at Christian Heritage, Jon married Kelly Lynn Heeringa, and she survives.
Jon worked as a landscaper. He enjoyed music, football, classic movies, and television shows including Three’s Company and I Love Lucy. Jon was a homebody but loved his family very dearly and spending time with his grandchildren. Jon loved rescuing dogs, but his dogs were so much a part of his life, especially his little dachshund Tesla. He was a comedian at heart and loved to make people laugh. Jon will forever be known as “Pops,” no matter if you’re friends or family, and he will be deeply missed by everyone.
Along with his wife and partner of 40 years Kelly Burton, Jon is survived by his children Jon Ryan Whittington, Chelsy (Brandon) Vandevender, Devani Frey, Nicholas (Miyah) Stephens, Brady (Lucy Bradburn) Burton, and Trace Burton, grandchildren Kendall Burton, Scarlett Vandevender, Dalton Vandevender, Jacob Frey, Nevaeh Burton, Faith Frey, Noah Frey, Avah Stephens, Kitt Stephens, Kira Stephens, Carly Burton, Skyler Whittington, and Shyla Whittington, and sister Christina Alexander.
Jon was preceded in death by his mother Carol Burton.
