Danny Ray Jackson Jr.
Danny Ray Jackson Jr., 30, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on February 17, 2025, at IU Health University Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born December 28, 1994, to Danny Jackson Sr. and Christina Wunderlich.
Danny graduated from Kokomo High School in 2013 where he found his joy for the arts from participating in marching band and theater. He was a talented singer and absolutely loved music. He went on to major in Theater Education at Ball State from 2013-2017. He played a part of many shows at the Kokomo Civic Theater.
Danny recently was the manager of Red Lobster and Windmill Grill; he was very passionate about the restaurant business. Danny was an amazing cook, and he was a friendly face to anyone who walked in. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family, and his dogs. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his loving mother Christina (Travis) Wunderlich, grandparents John and Myrna Lee, Pamela Jackson, and Steven (Kris) Wunderlich, siblings Kaylee Jackson and Daylin Jackson. He also leaves behind an aunt Stephanie Dart and three cousins, Trent, Kyler, and Jax, all of whom he was very close to. Danny was close to his extended family as well.
Danny is preceded in death by his father Danny Jackson Sr. and grandfather Sherman Jackson.
A visitation for Danny will be Monday, February 24, 2025, from 10:30 AM until the time of service at 1:30 PM, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Burial will follow to Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Pastor Steve Sherwood will be officiating.
Gail Ann Timmerman
Gail Ann Timmerman, 71, of Kokomo, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born on March 16, 1953, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Floyd and Cleon (Anderson) Reed.
Gail graduated from North High School. She then went on to graduate from beauty school. Gail retired after many years of working as a personal care aid. She loved flowers, plants, listening to music, cooking, getting together with her friends, and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. A proud moment in her life was being baptized. Her faith was very important to her. Gail absolutely adored her dog Khloe; she was her pride and joy. She loved to dress her up and take her on walks. Gail was a very caring person and upbeat lady with a bubbly personality who loved to laugh.
Gail is survived by: her daughters Jessie Brownell of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and Angela (Terrell) Jackson of Kokomo, Indiana; grandchildren Caylee (Sam) Ganther and Cassidy Brownell of Wisconsin, and Shanelle Jackson and Jevante (Carol) Jackson of Arizona; and great-grandchildren Nova-Lynn Jackson, Alani Jackson, Eira Jackson, and Brynnlee Pederson/Brownell.
Along with her husband Scott Timmerman, Gail was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Cleon Reed and brother Gary Allen Reed.
A funeral service celebrating Gail’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, Indiana. Shirley Sue (Ross) Edwards
Shirley Sue (Ross) Edwards, 90 years old, of Kokomo, passed away 4:48 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Northwoods Village in Kokomo. She was born in Gas City, IN, on November 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Glenn and Virginia (Dancer) Ross.
Shirley graduated high school in Upland, IN. She was known for being a happy person and a social butterfly. She was a conversationalist and was energized by talking and connecting with people. She once had an amazing memory and knew everybody by name. She was passionate about animals and bird watching. Her favorite hobby was searching for the latest and greatest antiques.
She is survived by: her sons Ross (Jessie) Hutson of St. Petersburg, FL and Daniel (Debra) Edwards of Kokomo, IN; grandchildren Kate (Dan) Hornaday of Clearwater, FL, Tara Hutson of Columbus, OH, Jennifer (Tony) Vouis of Cardington, OH, Jackson Edwards and Wyatt Edwards; sister Wendy Ross; cousin Warren Ross; and great-grandchildren Jacob Hornaday, Quinn Vouis, Johnny Vouis, and Boone Vouis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jerry Ross.

Andrew Jacob Matthew Smith
With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Andrew Jacob Matthew Smith on January 25, 2025, in his home. He was born on June 22, 2006, in Indianapolis, IN, to his parents Brice and Tabitha (Netherton) Smith and his best friend and sister Emily Smith of Tipton, IN.
He was a bright, well-mannered, strong-willed, and passionate young man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He had a goofy personality that no one could dislike. He was very protective of those he loved.
He was a very athletic and avid lover of sports. During his young life, Jacob played football, wrestling, weightlifting, MMA-style training, and baseball. He was particularly interested in playing baseball. He was an excellent baseball player who was very versatile. He could play any position but favored playing middle infield and pitcher. He played on the Rawlings Tigers Baseball team. He was chosen to represent the Tigers in four National League Championships. He was also invited to travel to the Dominican Republic with the Chicago Cubs coaching staff to play a series of baseball games two years in a row. He also had been selected to play in the Elite National Presidents Day Classic held in February 2025. He had so many opportunities to go further in baseball.
He started breaking Tipton High School weightlifting records in 8th grade and continued throughout his high school career; they should still be standing to this day. He was the strongest young man. He was also invited to compete in weightlifting competitions with his lift lab in Indianapolis.
He loved his tattoos. He proudly displayed his art on his forearms. He had a large collection of shoes and hats.
He enjoyed spending time and continuously playing fetch with his German Shepherd, Major.
He loved working with his hands. He was always disassembling and reassembling bikes, quads, or cars. He was always upgrading something to his 2006 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R and his 2020 Camaro SS. He was extremely proud and meticulous about his toys.
He was a thrill seeker. He was not afraid to try anything new. He enjoyed sky diving and was open water certified in scuba diving. He loved boating and deep-sea charter fishing. He enjoyed wave runners, quads, and motorcycles. He recently became a fan of snow skiing and excelled at this the first time.
He was a senior at Hamilton Heights. He graduated midterm and was due to walk with his class in May 2025. He was also halfway through his first year as a plumbing apprentice at Mechanical Skills in Indianapolis.
He was employed as a plumbing apprentice with Brice Smith Plumbing.
He is survived by his parents Brice and Tabitha Smith and sister Emily Smith of Tipton, IN. Other survivors include his great-grandfather Gaylord Hall of Tipton, IN, grandmothers Lucinda Payne of Kempton, IN, and Elizabeth May-Smith of Hudson, FL, grandfather Mike (Kathy) Smith of Tipton, IN, and uncles Jeremy (April) Netherton, Chris (Julie) Smith, and Aric Smith.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandmothers Mary Hall and Janice Smith, his grandmother Sarah Yeary, and grandfather Carl Netherton.
He was an extremely talented young man and excelled at anything he attempted to do. His parents and sister are so proud of him and his accomplishments. He had his future planned out.
