Timothy “Tim” David Parvin
Timothy “Tim” David Parvin, 64, of Russiaville, passed away 7:49 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at his home in Kokomo. He was born in Kokomo, IN, on January 21, 1961, the son of the late Joseph and Rosie Eileen (Burns) Parvin. On March 18, 1993, he married Sharon (Linville), and she survives.
Tim held various places of employment. He started at McGonigal’s fresh out of school. Then, he worked at the boat factory in Sharpsville, United Technologies, and at Waste Management.
Tim was best described as a character. He was very caring and would do anything for anybody in need. He was a car enthusiast. He was skilled in working with his hands. He was proud of his work while fixing up and flipping cars. Tim loved attending car shows, and each year he would go to the Father’s Day car show in Highland Park. He had a couple of motorcycles that he enjoyed taking out for joy rides. He was an animal lover and had a soft spot for his cats. Tim put his family first, and he appreciated spending time with them and his trips to Tennessee.
In addition to his wife Sharon, Tim is survived by his children Amber (Christian Kilgard) Ralstin, Stacia Hart, Cody (Christie Rust) Parvin, Steve (Lisa) Creason, and Zach (Shallon) Vandervort, siblings Danny (Barb) Parvin, Randall (Laketia) Parvin, Kenny (Betty) Parvin, Donald (Kellie) Parvin, Darin (Priscilla Shoffner) Parvin, Joyce Laudenschlager, and Nancy (Jimmy) Arnold, grandchildren Callie Creason, Julia Vandervort, Isabella Parvin, Lindsey Ralstin, Natalie Ralstin, Ryder Parvin, Hazel Kilgard, Clark Kilgard, and Asher Rust, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Virgina Scott and Lois (Ward) Bowlby, and brother-in-law George Laudenschlager.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St. Russiaville, IN 46979. Contributions may be made in Tim’s memory to the Kokomo Humane Society.
Diane Moody Woodcock
Diane Moody Woodcock, 76, of Kokomo, IN, passed away on February 3, 2025. Despite health issues that made her life difficult in the recent past, Diane was able to maintain a positive attitude and kept adapting in order to keep on with her life.
Diane was born on September 20, 1948, in Louisville, KY, the oldest of Edgar Pittenger and Betty (Brown) Pittenger. She was joined in the family by her sister Judith and her younger brothers Jeffrey and Douglas. Diane was raised in Wilmore, Kentucky, and was a graduate of Asbury College. It was at Asbury College where she met her future husband, Steve, as a freshman. They married on December 9, 1967. She later attended Temple University and obtained her Master’s in Social Work in May 1991.
Diane’s career in social work has been wide ranging. She has traveled the country, providing services for children and families. Her roles spanned all aspects of care: disadvantaged children; foster care; adoption; pregnancy prevention; and individual/group/family therapy. Stops included Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, Missouri, California, Tennessee, and finally settling in Indiana. It was while in Texas that Diane’s dream of becoming a mother came true. Diane and Steve adopted Amara, who was born December 1975.
Diane was an avid reader, enjoyed weekend trips and vacations with Steve, and was a lifelong fan of the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team. She was also a woman of faith. It was her faith that helped sustain her during her illness and troubled times. Left to cherish her memory are: her loving husband of 57 years, Steve; a daughter, Amara; and son-in-law, Alex. Diane also leaves behind her siblings Judith and husband, Gene, in Lexington, Kentucky, and brothers Jeffrey in Franklin, Tennessee, and Douglas in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Preceding Diane in death were her parents, daughter Rachel, and her beloved mother-in-law Trudy. Also preceding Diane in her death were her beloved grandma and grandpa Brown and her grandma and grandpa Pittenger as well as her beloved aunts Della and Nano.
A memorial gathering for Diane will be held Friday, February 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a homecoming service at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Diane may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 ~ www.stjude.org.
Margaret J. Fakes
Margaret J Fakes, age 97, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
A graveside service for Margaret will be held Monday, February 10, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Albright Cemetery, 3910 Albright Rd, Kokomo, Indiana 46902.
Margaret will be laid to rest in Albright Cemetery.

Lonnie Bruce Edwards, age 67, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Robert Alan Newman
Robert Alan Newman, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. He was born on March 31, 1959, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Donald E. and Elaine C. (Brusewitz) Newman.
Robert graduated from Haworth High School in 1977. He graduated from Purdue University with a Pharmacy degree. Robert retired from Wishard Hospital after 20 years of working in Pharmacy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, skiing, and going to museums. Robert was a lifelong learner and even earned himself a degree in welding.
Robert is survived by his mother Elaine Newman, brother Scott (Maureen) Newman, and nephew Grant Newman.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Donald E. Newman and nephew Conner Newman.
