Richard “Dick” Allen Scheiman

Richard “Dick” Allen Scheiman, 79, of Russiaville, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 10, 2025. He was born in Decatur, IN, on February 22, 1945, the son of the late Frederick and Mary Ellen (Hayes) Scheiman. On March 29, 2008, he married Maria Luz Recamadas, and she survives.

Dick was a 1963 graduate of Kokomo High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in 1967. In 1978, he received a Master’s in Business Administration from Ball State University. He served at Chrysler Corp. as a quality engineer and retired in 2001 as a corporate auditor. Dick prioritized his faith and his relationship with Jesus. He was a devout member of Fresh Start Ministries in Kokomo. He was a spectacular musician who enjoyed listening to bluegrass music. He was a gifted fiddle and guitar player. He often volunteered, providing music for church services within nursing facilities. Dick was fascinated with classic cars and attending car shows. His favorite hobbies were fishing, kayaking, gunsmithing, and shooting guns. Dick was an avid golfer in his younger days.

In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his children, Kristina Scheiman, Joseph Scheiman; grandchildren, Makayla Keating, Connor Scheiman, Cole Scheiman; siblings, Judy (Phill) Seitz, Michael (Suzi) Scheiman, Patty (Steve) Ellis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jerry Scheiman.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2025, at Fresh Start Ministries, 801 W. Mulberry St., Kokomo, IN 46901. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday at the church, with Pastor Chad Collins officiating. Contributions may be made in Dick’s memory to Fresh Start Ministries. Stout & Son Funeral Home – Russiaville Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

Timothy Earl Rivers

Timothy Earl Rivers passed away.

A memorial gathering for Timothy will be held Friday, February 21, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary, 725 S. Main Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901. Following the memorial gathering will be a memorial service at 6:00 PM.



John Everett Arnold

John Everett Arnold, 69, of Kokomo, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Northwoods Village in Kokomo. He was born in Springfield, Missouri, on February 5, 1955, the son of the late Raymond Arnold and Wilma May (Short) Wolfenberger. On July 31, 1999, he married Joyce McCombs at Meridian Street Christian Church in Greentown, and she survives.

John graduated high school in Merced, California. He worked as a taxi driver and at Yosemite National Park while in California. In Logansport he worked at IBP, a.k.a. Tyson, and later at the Pharos Tribune in the mailroom. John most recently worked at Walmart in the lawn and garden and maintenance departments. He was a quiet and reserved man, but super helpful to anyone in need. He enjoyed mowing his yard, fishing, and working outside on the flower bed. John loved watching WWE wrestling. He was a strong believer in God and in the Bible.

In addition to his wife Joyce, John is survived by his daughters Ruth Arnold and Sheila Wendling, a stepson Benjamin Lee McCombs, grandchildren Annalisa Mongul, Jonathan Arnold, Lyla Arnold, and Lucas Wendling Jr., brother Raymond Arnold, sister Barbara (Chris) Northern, seven great-grandchildren, and brother-in-law Rick (Sue) McCombs and their family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Martha Arnold, father-in-law and mother-in-law Glenn W. “Bud” and Veda McCombs, brothers-in-law Bill McCombs and Dan McCombs, and niece Brandy McCombs.

A memorial service celebrating John’s life will take place later. Contributions may be made in John’s memory to Hasler-Stout Funeral Home to assist with expenses. Hasler-Stout Funeral Home in Greentown has been entrusted with arrangements.
