Linda K. (Moss) Spivey

Linda K. (Moss) Spivey, 69, of Windfall, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in Tipton at her son’s home. She was born on December 3, 1955, in Hobbs to Elbert Jay & Neva Nell Moss.

Linda loved caring for her pets, especially her Chihuahua named Pedro. She enjoyed going to rummage sales, playing bingo, and listening to old classic country music.

She is survived by her mother of Tipton; two children, Terry Wood and wife Barbi of Tipton and Elizabeth Balser of Tipton. Linda also has one sister, Glenda Muncie and husband Chris Wright of Kempton as well as a sister-in-law, Margie Moss of Tipton. She has five grandchildren, Nick Wood, Zakk Jarrell and wife Macy, Braydon Wood, Leah Jarrell and husband Jason and Cerena Thatcher and husband Drew.

Linda’s nieces and nephews are Cheyenne, Alexia, Brielle, Jaxsen, Angel and Rayann. She is also survived by her best friend for 52 years, Brenda.

Linda was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Moss, one daughter, Dianna Wood and one granddaughter, Haley Brown.

A funeral service for Linda will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Plake presiding. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.

Charlene Anderson

Charlene Anderson, a beacon of faith and joy, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, in her hometown of Kokomo, IN, just one day before her 48th birthday. Born on December 4, 1976, to Ronnie Holloway and the late Norma Jean Young Woodard, Charlene's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the love she shared with everyone around her.

A proud graduate of Kokomo High School, Charlene furthered her education by earning an Associate's degree from Ivy Tech. Her academic achievements paved the way for a fulfilling career as a Medical Assistant at Community Howard Regional Hospital, where she was not just an employee but also a friend and a source of comfort to those in need.

Charlene's life was rich with the love of her family, who stood by her through every step of her journey. She is survived by her adoring children, Arynne Anderson, Titus Anderson, and Charmarius Anderson, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and resilience. Her father, Ronnie Holloway, her sister, Charlotte (Eric) Johnson, her aunt, Princella R. Young, and her brother, Aaron L. Woodard, will fondly remember her infectious laugh and her fearless approach to life. Charlene was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Jean Young Woodard, and her grandparents, Ruthie L. Young and Fred Young, who have now welcomed her into eternal peace.

Charlene's interests and hobbies were as vibrant and diverse as her personality. She had a passion for singing, which she often shared with her church's choir, uplifting many with her melodic voice. A devout student of the Bible, Charlene found solace and strength in its teachings, which she lived by and imparted to those around her. She also possessed a remarkable talent for baking, specializing in cookies that were as sweet as her demeanor.

Those who knew Charlene will remember her as faith-filled, funny, and courageous. She faced life's challenges head-on, never losing her ability to smile and make others laugh, even in the toughest of times. Her courage was not just in the battles she fought but in the everyday moments where she chose joy and hope over despair.

Charlene's life will be celebrated in a ceremony that reflects the love she shared and the impact she made on so many. Her family will hold dear the memories of her laughter, her unwavering support, and the countless ways she brightened the lives of those around her.

We bid farewell to Charlene Anderson, a woman of great faith and immense heart, who left the world better than she found it. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
