Juanita Mae (Snyder) Tebbe
Juanita Mae (Snyder) Tebbe, 91, of Kokomo, passed away at 5:00 a.m. Thursday, November 28, 2024, at her home. She was born in Tipton, IN, on August 22, 1933, the daughter of the late Virgil Paul and Leona Mildred (Mason) Snyder. On January 13, 1950, she married Edward “Ed” Joseph Tebbe in Delphi, IN, and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2009.
Juanita attended Tipton High School and Kokomo Beauty College. She was a cosmetologist for more than 50 years and operated her own salon for a majority of that time. She also was a cosmetology instructor from 1970-1976 and a Jhirmack educator from 1977-1980. Juanita was a strong, thoughtful, and considerate woman. She was a volunteer for the Howard County Cancer Society and We Care in Kokomo. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority where she served as the Chairman of We Care Cheeseballs for several years, a member of The Quilters Guild, a sewing club, and attended St. Andrew Episcopal Church.
Juanita is survived by her daughters, MaryAnn (Steve) Grady, Hawthorne, FL, Patricia (Gene) Tragesser, Kokomo, IN, Susan (Bob) Harding, Kokomo, IN; daughter-in-law, Joyce Tebbe Vilonia, AR; grandchildren, Brian (Laura) Tebbe, Brandon (Carrie Caswell) Tebbe, Kim (Brian) Jones, Amy (Mark) Alexander, Angela (Chad) Hurst, Parker (Carleen) Kuntz, Johanna (Todd Garber) Sullivan, Anna-Mae (Adam) Beswick, Jessica (Cody) Cox, Sadie Harding; great-grandchildren, Ashley (Neal) Periatt, Aaron Tebbe, Dylan Jones, Madison Alexander, Conner Alexander, Kaleb Lebo, Mia Lebo, Anne Kuntz, Miles Garber, Ren Beswick, Kasey Beswick, Flynn Cox, Nyle Cox, Zayn Cox; great-great-grandchildren, Annabelle Periatt, Paisley Periatt; extended family, Cindy and Marty Britten, Susan Cooper and family; 10 step-grandchildren and their families; brother-in-law, Norbert Tebbe; Sister-in-law; Margaret Woods; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Helen Cutler and Donna Calhoun.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, John Tebbe; brother, Robert (Dorothy) Snyder, Jr.; sisters, Etheleen Johnson, Georgia (Robert) Leach.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2024, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family an hour prior to the service on Saturday. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Juanita’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Debra S. Hartwell
Debra S. Hartwell, 71, Kokomo, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, at her home. Born February 4, 1953, in Kokomo, Indiana, Debra was the beloved daughter of the late Donald Roy Scott and Roberta Jean (Taylor) Scott.
A proud graduate of Kokomo High School in 1972, Debra furthered her education by earning an associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College. She dedicated 23 years of her professional life as a receptionist, where her warm smile and kind demeanor left a lasting impression on all who met her.
Debra's passions extended beyond her professional life. She was an avid collector of cookbooks, finding joy in the art of cooking and sharing meals with loved ones. Her love for camping, antiquing, and the beaches of Florida brought her much happiness and adventure. Debra was also a devoted member of Compassionate Friends and the Volkswagen Club, communities where she formed lasting friendships and shared her enthusiasm for life.
Above all, Debra's greatest joy was her family. She cherished her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, and her pets, who brought her endless companionship and joy. Her beloved Volkswagen was a symbol of her adventurous spirit and zest for life.
Debra's legacy is one of love, kindness, and a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she touched.
Debra is survived by her son, Nathan (Hannah) Hartwell; siblings, Donald L. (Tami) Scott and Joyce Guerre; grandsons, Nolan Hartwell and Noah Hartwell; nieces and nephews, Jared Scott, Elizabeth Douglas, Ashley Santos, Kym Derocker, Paige Eades and Rick Worland.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Ryan Hartwell and Evan Hartwell; sister, Kay Schuck; and brother-in-law, Robert Guerre.
The family will announce arrangements for a celebration of life to be held sometime later in the spring. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation.
Ilo Mae Spears
Ilo Mae Spears, 86 of Sharpsville, died peacefully at her residence Wednesday, November 27, 2024. She was born in Plymouth, Indiana, on May 12, 1938, to Ruben and Bernice (Spaid) Shively. Ilo married her soul mate, Freddie Nelson Spears, on August 19, 1962. They enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage, as he died on January 9, 2022.
Ilo was a 1956 graduate of LaPaz High School and a 1960 and 1964 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College. She taught school for several years as well as being a homemaker, a farmer’s wife, and keeping the books for the farm. She was a lifetime member of the Home Economics Club and belonged to the American Bell Association International, Inc.
Survivors include two sons, William and wife Bonnie Spears of Sharpsville and Michael Spears of Tipton. She has a granddaughter, Skyler Wyrick and husband Tyler, a great-grandson Oliver Wyrick and a great-granddaughter Ember Wyrick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie, and a stillborn daughter Lory Lynn.
According to Ilo’s wishes, there will not be any visitation or funeral services. A private burial will take place at Sharpsville Cemetery.

Jayden Stamps Banner
Jayden Stamps Banner was born September 10, 1997, to Autumn Haun. Jayden passed away, aged 27, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
Jayden always had a smile on his face. He never knew a stranger. He was a loving son, father, and brother. He loved spending time with his daughter, Tara; she was his whole world. He loved off-roading, working out, road trips, and Florida vacations on the beach. He was a dedicated and proud owner of his business, Nomad’s Truck Repair, that he grew from the ground up. He was always there to help everyone, including his family and friends. He always made sure nobody went without. He will be dearly missed, and there’s a hole in all of our hearts that will never be filled.
Left to cherish Jayden's memory are his mother, Autumn Haun; brothers Luke and Kolden Banner; sisters, Madalyn and Jora Missig; daughter, Tara Lu Banner; grandparents Gary & Jada Haun; uncle, Torey Haun; niece Ayva Clark; and nephew, Jonah Clark.
Jayden was preceded in death by Lucas Banner and John & Rosella Buckley.
