Raymond Joseph King
Raymond Joseph King, 58, of Kokomo, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. He was born on November 21, 1965, in Wabash, IN, the son of Raymond George King, Lela (McNeeley) King. On February 6, 1989, he married Melissa Ann (Blake) King, and she preceded him in death on September 15, 2024.
Raymond graduated from Wabash High School. He retired from the Kokomo Academy and previously worked for Miami County as a Deputy and Correctional Officer. Raymond enjoyed playing games on the computer and taking care of his wife.
Raymond is survived by his children, Levi (Amanda) King, Josiah King, and Elijah King; and grandchildren, Lilly King, Makenna King, Noah King, Luke King, and Grace King.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E 38th Street, Marion, IN. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
William Richard Hesterhagen
William Richard Hesterhagen, a beloved husband, father, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, in Sarasota, Florida, at the age of 92. Born on June 19, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, Bill was the eldest son of William and Dorothy Hesterhagen. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, his brother Richard, and his sister Doris Robinson, leaving behind fond memories cherished by his surviving family.
Bill's early years were marked by a strong commitment to education, leading him to graduate from Purdue University. His life was shaped by a deep sense of duty and honor, which he exemplified during his military service in the U.S. Army, where he fought bravely in the Korean War. Bill was a Technical SGT. Korea and was awarded with the Service Ribbon, National Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
On June 2, 1956, Bill married his first wife, Audrey Marshall, in Chicago, Illinois. Together, they built a family that would become the cornerstone of his life. After their marriage, he dedicated himself to a career that showcased his talents and passion. Bill worked at WFBM in Indianapolis before rising to the position of Senior Vice President at Electrical Systems Company. His expertise in designing sound systems left a remarkable impact on larger venues including Market Square Arena and the Natatorium in Indianapolis.
In 1983, Bill found love again when he married Kay Simms in Indianapolis. His devotion to his wives was unwavering, and he was a gentle and caring partner who always put family first. Bill's legacy lives on through his adoring wives Kay and Audrey and daughter and sons: Aimee Gervasi (Ron), Jordan Hesterhagen (Jennifer), and Tyler Hesterhagen (Lisa) step-daughter Diane (Rick) and step-son Dwayne (Kathy) He is also survived by his sister Joyce Williams, who will cherish the memories of their shared childhood, along with that many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Music played a significant role in Bill's life, and he was known for his passion for sharing that love with his children. He often expressed himself through his classical guitar, creating beautiful melodies that resonated with those around him. He was an avid photographer and shared his work with everyone. It was this gentleness and love for music that endeared him to so many.
Bill was not only a remarkable professional and a devoted family man; he was a pillar of strength and kindness. His warm spirit and caring nature made him a mentor and friend to those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered as a patient listener, a source of wisdom, and a beacon of love in the lives of his family and friends.
Bill’s funeral will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 23, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. A viewing will be held in honor of Bill on Friday, November 22, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rena Ann Stone
Rena Ann Stone, 61, of Burlington, suddenly passed away 2:35 a.m. Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born in Muscatine, Iowa, on April 2, 1963, the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Denise (Taylor) Foster. On June 25, 1984, she married Timothy Stone, and he survives.
Rena was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma. She was the best caretaker and homemaker. She adored her grandchildren and any quality time spent with them.
In addition to her husband of 40 years, Rena is survived by her children, Jenna (Steven) Tkachuk, Derek (Danielle) Stone; grandchildren, Kellan, Keira, Jaden, Porter, Kennedy, Liberty, Rickie, Brady, Camden; brother, Wess Jaecques; and bonus-mom, Corrine Ellison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Denise Foster.
