Betty S. Frazier
Betty S. Frazier, 81, died on July 26, 2024, at Autumnwood Village in Tipton. She was born on October 20, 1942, in Arkansas to Robert and Mildred Culbertson. She married Phillip W. Frazier on August 21, 1960. Together, she and Phil raised two children and traveled extensively throughout the United States as well as France, Italy, and Germany.
Betty is survived by her son, Tim, of Hope, Idaho, and a daughter, Julie Pinkerton of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren Casey Pinkerton, Charlie Pinkerton, Max Frazier, Meghan Frazier; great- granddaughter Elise Frazier. She is also survived by Paul Hicks of Westfield, Indiana, and Debbie Weismiller of Tipton.
Betty's main occupation was mothering her children and keeping up with her husband, Phil! They lived in Greencastle for many years, eventually owning and running The Butcher Block, a small grocery and meat-cutting enterprise. After leaving Greencastle in the late 1980s, she and Phil lived in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and Rotunda West, Florida. They returned to Indiana in 2015, where they resided in Kokomo.
Betty had an artistic talent that she used in decorating the many houses she and Phil renovated and built. While living in Hilton Head, she worked with several interior designers on the island, creating custom draperies and other soft furnishings. Betty’s love of photography encouraged her to capture a life well-lived. She will be missed.
A family-led service is planned for 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. also on Wednesday.
