Connie Sue Vermilion

Connie Sue Vermilion, 77, left this world peacefully at 11:40 a.m. July 4, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born in Peru, IN, on March 31, 1947, to Loren & Roselyn (LeMaster) Einselen.

Connie became an LPN and worked in the OB department of Howard Community Hospital before getting married and becoming a mother to Terry (Teri) Vermilion, Angela Locklear (Ronald Bright) and Ryan Vermilion (Britini Wregglesworth). Connie loved all things flowers, birds, butterflies and the color purple. She loved to “play in the dirt’, create floral arrangements and was a talented painter. Later in life Connie worked for Planned Parenthood, Indiana Health Center, and McKinley School, where she discovered her calling in working with troubled youth.

Along with her children, Connie is survived by her brother, Eldon Einselen, her grandchildren Emily (Dakota) Hamilton, Maggie, Zachary & Bella Vermilion, Eli, Alex & Aidenn Locklear, Bryce Schutte and RJ Vermilion and great grandchildren Brynlee, Michael and Vincent Hamilton.

Celebration of life services will be held at Ellers Mortuary at a later date.
