Jean A. Hardwick

Jean A. Hardwick, 64, of Tipton and formerly of Elwood, died peacefully at her residence Sunday, June 30, 2024. She was born in Tipton on June 4, 1960, to David Lloyd Dillard and Mary Catherine Scott Goodman.

Jean worked as a manager in the fast-food industry, a position that kept her on her toes. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Portland, Indiana. She enjoyed relaxing with her cross-stitch and deeply loved her dog, Itzy.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Toni Gibson (Matt) of South Bend, and a foster daughter, Heather (Justin) of Texas. Siblings include Tori Hearn (Jerrod) of Tipton, Jonnah Harden of Kentucky and Tom Scott of Tipton. Jean has four grandchildren: Tracie Gibson, Bradley Hardwick, Breanna Baldaulf, and Melody Gibson, and nieces Ashley Giovanni, Kailyn Hearn, and Tristian Plake.

Jean was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Hardwick, and a sister, Jane Ferraro.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 3, at 12:00 noon at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Steve Brown presiding. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Alexandria. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
