Frances Slocum, Hershey executive are guests at Greentown Hist. Soc. events
Come and hear the story of Frances Slocum at the Greentown Historical Society, 103 E. Main St., Greentown, on Wed., Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. Sharon Dillman will bring to life Frances Slocum, a Native American captive who was taken from her family home in Pennsylvania in 1778 by the Delaware Tribe and brought to Indiana.
Also, the Greentown Historical Society’s 2024 Annual Meeting/Dinner is Thu., Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. at the Keystone Cooperative Community Building, Howard County Fairgrounds, Greentown. The guest speaker will be Kristen Riggs, President, Salty Snacks & Chief Growth Officer of Hershey Corp. Kristen is a 1996 Eastern High School graduate.
The meal will be catered by Main Occasions Catering of Greentown for $25 per person. Reservations are required for the meal by Nov. 7 and may be made by calling/texting 765-626-0164 or mailing a check to Greentown Historical Society, P.O. 313, Greentown, Indiana 46936.
