On June 10, 2024, officers from the Kokomo Police Department responded to Walmart at 1920 E. Markland in reference to a credit card skimming device being located on a card reader inside the store. Walmart loss prevention employees advised their investigation revealed when the device was deployed.

After examining the stores security surveillance video, the employees found that two white males dressed in dark clothing came to the store on June 5, 2024, at 5:39 p.m. The two are observed purchasing fruits and vegetables causing the cashier to have to look away while checking a pricing guide. As this was occurring one of the suspects obscures the cashiers view of the card reader while the other removes the device from his pants and places it on the card reader. The two then exit the store and are observed walking south in the parking lot out of the view of the camera.

At this time, KPD is asking for the community’s help in identifying the suspects in the attached photos.
