Ava Caudill pursuing media, theatre studies at Ball State

Ava Caudill, a 2024 graduate of Kokomo High School, is finding early success in film as a freshman at Ball State University. Her first screenplay has been chosen to be made into a short film through Radiance Cinema.

Once completed, the film will be submitted to the Indy Shorts International Film Festival next spring. Only six scripts were chosen for production, and Caudill was the only freshman whose work was selected.

Caudill, who is studying Media Production and Theatre Creation at Ball State, also was selected to join BSU Tonight, a campus sketch comedy show. Her duties include writing, acting and directing various sketches. She also is a member of the university’s performance collaborative that puts on shows throughout the school year.

Caudill was a student in the Kokomo Area Career Center’s radio/television program during her time at Kokomo High School.
