How many times have you been driving and suddenly the low tire pressure indicator light comes on? What can you do? Well, it is difficult to find a service station that has an outside air hose anymore, and unless you are carrying a air compressor with you, you could be out of luck!
Well, this year, my wife managed to really surprise me with a gift I had never considered. One of our granddaughters asked my wife what I wanted for Christmas. She was somewhat concerned because I had not really mentioned anything special. My granddaughter told her about this handheld tire inflator that was about the size of a remote control for a television. It is rechargeable and fits in the glove box. She bought one for her husband, and they use it all the time.
When she handed me the wrapped box, I had no idea what was in it. I knew it was too small to be the 22-foot bass boat with a 250 on the back, so I discounted that idea. When I got it unwrapped, I was astonished. I give her credit for thinking about getting me one of these.
I have a nice air compressor in our garage, and I have another air compressor in the shed for airing up tires on the zero-turn mower, the handheld hand truck for hauling things, the ATV, the utility trailer, basketballs, footballs, etc. But I was impressed with her choice.
The Bullseye pocket air inflator is a godsend. It is lightweight, and you can recharge with a pigtail that plugs into the USB port of your computer or automobile. The air hose is stored in the unit body. You simply remove the hose and thread it into the end of the inflator, screwing it in clockwise.
You will see a square control panel. Push the center button and hold it for two seconds to turn on the power. Press the button continuously until the desired pressure is entered. Then, simply attach the end of the valve connector to the tire valve stem and press the power button to start the pump. It will inflate the tire until the proper tire pressure is achieved, and it will automatically shut off.
Inside the package you will find four different inflating tips: one Presta Valves adaptor; one narrow adaptor; one wide adaptor; and one sports needle adaptor. These adaptors screw into the Schrader valve connector. Also included in the pouch is a USB-C charging cord and a fabric carry pouch.
This handy tire inflator can inflate a tire in two minutes from 29 to 34 PSI, and you can do it all in one hand and monitor progress with a bright blue digital readout screen, thanks to an oversized, easy-to-read pressure gauge. You also have a quick start guide, explaining in detail how the unit works.
This unit makes it a simple job to inflate vehicle tires, bicycle tires, basketballs, football and beach balls, and floatation devices. It is capable of storing up to 100 PSI. I highly suggest you take a look at this device. You can store it in your glove box, console, or under the seat.
I coaxed my wife to tell me where she bought it. She said Walmart, but I would imagine just about any auto parts store would have them, or something similar.
You never know when the situation will happen when you need a small portable air compressor. This device could prevent a bad situation from becoming worse. I can easily see another such device for my wife's Jeep pretty soon.
