On February 10, 2025, a report was filed with the Kokomo Police Department regarding sexual misconduct allegations with a minor. A warrant was issued for the suspect, David Johns, age 20, of Kokomo.

Johns was arrested on February 19, 2025, for Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, Child Exploitation, Possession of Child Pornography, and Importation of Obscene Matter.

On March 1, 2025, the Kokomo Police Department was contacted by the West Virginia State Police indicating Johns was a possible suspect in a child solicitation/exploitation case in their jurisdiction.
