Last year, the beds of Kokomo Rescue Mission’s women’s homeless shelters were used a total of 18,792 times. That’s an average of 52 women and children staying in a shelter each night. The need is great, but the support of our community is even greater!

Kokomo Rescue Mission will hold its 24th annual Walk a Mile in My Shoes fundraiser on Saturday, February 22, to raise money for the women and children staying in their shelters. This one-mile walk includes a kickoff ceremony with Taylor High School’s jazz band and drum line at 8:30 a.m., a hot breakfast (freewill offering), tours of the two women’s shelters (Watered Garden and Open Arms), and a chance to hear women’s stories.

You can help with Walk a Mile by organizing a team to walk, registering to walk as an individual, and/or donating toward the cause.
