Dozens of junior triathletes and kids looking to have some physical fitness fun arrived at Kokomo High School on Sept. 26 for the Wildkat Try-athlon: Pools, Pedals, and Paws.

Kids in Kindergarten through Grade 5, not just from Kokomo Schools, but anywhere in the surrounding community, were invited to swim, bike, and run about the school campus during the event.

The three stages of competition included a 50-yard swim (25 yards for younger kids), a bicycling (or scootering) lap around the high school, and a one-lap run on the high school track. All kids who completed the competition received a medal for their accomplishment.

Of course, there were plenty of volunteers, family members, and friends in attendance to cheer on their junior Ironmen and women.
