Nancy J. Law
Nancy J. Law, 85, of Tipton, died at 7:31 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at The Waters of Tipton. Earlier in life she had lived in Ekin. Her parents, Harvey & Olive (Williams) McDaniel, welcomed her into their life on March 23, 1939. She married Charles F. Law on March 26, 1971, and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2020.
She was a graduate of Prairie High School in the Class of 1957. Nancy served in the U.S. Air Force from July 1957–July 1960. She continued serving her country while working as a secretary at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis for 36 years, retiring in 1995. In her free time Nancy liked to sew, read, and tend to her garden.
Survivors include her daughter Amy Jones and husband Martin of Cicero; siblings Glenda Cubel and husband David, Sharpsville, Patty Durbin and husband Larry, Kokomo, Mary Hayes and special friend Tim Overdorf, Tipton, Betty Butcher and husband Morris of Kirklin, Harvey McDaniel of Elwood, Dale McDaniel and wife Jenny, Goldsmith and Lisa Jones and husband Jeff of Tipton.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14, at Union Cemetery on the Tipton–Hamilton County Line by Rev. Harvey McDaniel with burial to follow.
