Denny Joe Mize
Denny Joe Mize, 57, Kokomo, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at his home. He was born on November 21, 1965, to the late Benny Joe Mize and Pamela Marie (Gee) Free.
Denny worked for Chrysler as a pipe fitter for over 25 years. He was a member of Northview Christian Church. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed swimming in the ocean, boating, being outdoors, bowling, and listening to music, especially hard rock & roll. He will always be “Uncle Denny” to everyone who knew him.
Denny is survived by his mom, Pamela Free; siblings, Robert (Karie) Mize, and Lora Free; nieces & nephews, Taylor Mize, Kailyn (Nick) Zuranski, Chad (Courtney) Gaddis Jr., and Joseph Butcher III; and dear special friend, Larry Perigen & family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benny; stepdad, Lester Free Jr.; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Red Nichols; and grandfather, Thomas Gee.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Northview Christian Church, 2059 N. 100 E., Kokomo, with Pastor Chuck Armstrong officiating. Entombment will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday at the church. Margaret L Coachman
Margaret L Coachman, age 91, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 7:50 A.M. at Primrose Retirement Community Kokomo. She was born to the late Raymond and Esta (Andrews) Stainbrook in Tipton County, Indiana. Margaret married John J. Coachman on October 3, 1970 and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1996.
Margaret retired from Milbank Manufacturing in December 1993 after being employed for 28 years.
Margaret is survived by longtime companion and friend, Ronald Byrd; two daughters, Juanita (Rocky) Sears of Windfall, Indiana, and Lois Miller of Kokomo; stepchildren, Michael (Melissa) Byrd, Richard (Beckie) Byrd, Mark (Brenda) Byrd, and Tina (Brian) King; grandchildren, Darrell (Alisha) Sears of Kokomo, Jennifer (Shad) Smith of Russiaville, April (Randy) Slavey of Colorado, and Roy (Trisha) Smith of Kokomo; twelve great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Pat (Dave) Sharp and Susie Rogers, both of Tipton; niece and family, Dena Fuller of Elwood.
Preceding her in death is her loving husband, John; parents, three brothers, sister, and son-in-law.
There will be a time of visitation for Margaret on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, IN. Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Spall II
Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Spall II, 54, Kokomo, passed away at 3:30 pm Saturday, March 11, 2023, at his home. He was born December 8, 1968, in Kokomo, the son of Jeff L. & Vicky (Goudy) Spall. On April 9, 1998, he married Hollie D. Spall, who survives.
Jeff was a 1987 graduate of Western High School. He worked as a Boiler Service Technician for Goudy Bros. Boiler Co. Inc. for 36 years. Jeff enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, camping, Kayaking and watching NASCAR.
Along with his wife, Hollie, Jeff is also survived by his son, Chase L. Spall; mother, Vicky D. Spall; brother, Don Spall; sister-in-law, Krista Spall; brother-in-law, Michael Riggle and Darell Flake; father-in-law, Richard Riggle; and mothers-in-law, Virginia Riggle and Donna Ashbrook Meiring; niece and nephew, Shelby Shiflet (Mitchell) and Garrett Spall; 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jeff L Spall.
A memorial service celebrating Jeff’s life will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 21 at Main St. Christian Church, 220 W. Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Ryan Mills officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the church. Private burial will be in Albright Cemetery.

Joseph Kendall “Ken” Patterson
Joseph Kendall “Ken” Patterson, 64, Kokomo, passed away at 1:05 am Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at his home. He was born October 26, 1958, in Kokomo, the son of the late Joe & Nancy (King) Patterson. On February 16, 1980, he married Angela Dietzen who survives.
Ken was a 1977 graduate of Northwestern High School. He retired from Haynes International after 38 years of service. He had worked for Dietzen Bakery and McKibben Construction. Ken enjoyed going to cars shows and loved hanging out with his car show friends. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengal’s and Reds fan. Ken also enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his beloved feline, “Junior”.
Along with his wife Angela, Ken is also survived by his siblings, Kristina Tribbett and Kerry (Shirley) Patterson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Julie (Randy) Tennent, Chuck Dietzen, Vince (Kasie) Dietzen, Connie Tishner, Sue Dietzen and Jill Patterson; nieces and nephews, Jasmine (Richard) Foster, Jenna Tribbett, Justina (Shawn) Kruis, Kerrigan Patterson, Randy Tennent, Eddie (Megan) Dietzen, Shannon (Jay) Powell, Valerie Dietzen, Jordyn Dietzen, Wade Dietzen, Haley (Chris) Dietzen, Ceyrstin Thomas, Ceyanne Thomas, Tanner Tishner, Kennedy Tishner and Sara Patterson; great nieces and nephews, Riley Powell, Jace Powell, Mo Myers, JJ Patterson, Kalil Patterson, Ethan Foster, Jameson Foster, Addison Foster and Maddison Foster.
The family would like to give a very special thank you to Heartland Hospice and nurse Angie, for the love and care that was given to Ken and his family, along with Dr. Sherri Nuss and Dr. Eric Tuchscherer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 N. Washington Street, Kokomo, with Rev. Fr. Elliot Zak the celebrant. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-7 pm. Tuesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo and one hour prior to the Mass Wednesday at the church. A scripture service will be offered at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Lois Keturah (Ozenbaugh) Tucker
Lois Keturah (Ozenbaugh) Tucker, 95, of Kokomo, passed away 2:08 pm Wednesday March 15, 2023, at Northwoods Village. She was born in Jackson Township in Howard County, IN, on April 20, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Sammetinger) Ozenbaugh. On December 2, 1945, she married Raymond Tucker, and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1988.
Lois graduated from Jackson Township High School in 1945 and achieved Valedictorian of her class. She served a career as a floral designer for 45 years and owned and operated her own shop named Tucker’s Place Flower Shop. She loved gardening, reading, watching Jeopardy, and completing crossword puzzles. She was a devout member of New London Friends Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 60 years.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Marjorie (Nathan) Farlow, Russiaville, Linda (Terrance) Parr, Kokomo, Rebecca (Robert) King, Kokomo, Julie Hager, Irving, TX; grandchildren, Lori Farlow, Steven Maxey, David Maxey, Bryan Maxey, Marcia Julius, Sonya (Andy) Green, Christopher (Aline) Bluhm, Amanda Kloski; great-grandchildren, Taylor Reser, Cole Julius, Madison Green, Olivia Green, Raymond Green, Isabella Bluhm, Alysia Bluhm, Gavin Kloski; great-great-grandchildren, Karsen Reser, Cooper Reser.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Ozenbaugh; husband, Raymond Tucker; sisters, Louise Newby, Lucille Ozenbaugh; brothers-in-law, Meredith Kingery, Lester Newby, Ralph Etherington; sisters-in-law, Arlene Etherington, June Kingery; grandson, Randy Farlow; great-grandson, Raymond Conner Julius.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at New London Friends Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lois’ memory to New London Friends Church.
