Software company donates 30 laptops to community center
In a landmark moment for the Carver Community Center, an unprecedented donation took place in late February. Rocket Software generously contributed 30 laptop computers to Carver, significantly strengthening its ability to support educational growth, particularly in STEM.
This transformative gift was made possible through the leadership of Carver board president and world-renowned business consultant, Bob Knowling. His dedication to the center and belief in its mission have opened doors that will impact youth for generations.
Carver Executive Director JC Barnett III expressed his deep gratitude, stating, “Bob believes in the power of this place and goes to any length to support it. The resources and relationships he has are amazing—he himself is amazing. We are very proud to be the beneficiary of these types of relationships.”
Rocket Software is widely recognized for its expertise in data access, application development tools, and solutions tailored for industries like finance, healthcare, and government. The company prioritizes modernization, ensuring that organizations maximize the value of their existing IT investments rather than experiencing unnecessary disruptions. Their commitment to innovation and community engagement makes them an ideal partner for Carver’s mission.
With 30 new laptops, Carver is now equipped to expand its reach in both youth and adult education. The impact of this donation will be seen in enhanced classroom settings for young learners and increased opportunities for adults seeking further education and career advancement. This investment in technology will help bridge the digital divide, giving the community greater access to essential skills in an increasingly tech-driven world.
Carver expresses tremendous gratitude for Rocket Software’s generosity. Carver Community Center is taking a bold step forward in empowering individuals through education and technology.
