On December 9, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Kokomo Police Department responded to a reported domestic disturbance where one party was alleged to have been held against her will. When officers arrived, the home was found to be empty. Both the victim and suspect had left the area.
Officers began to receive reports from friends and family that the victim was forced from the home. Within a few hours the suspect vehicle was located in Indianapolis. The victim was found to have minor injuries and was transported back to Kokomo and released to family.
The suspect in the case was transported to the Howard County Jail and released. She was identified as 27-year-old Ashton Allen of Indianapolis. She was charged with: Kidnapping, a level 3 felony; Criminal Confinement, a level 3 felony; and Domestic Battery with a Firearm, a level 5 Felony. Kokomo officers were assisted by the Indianapolis FBI Safe Streets Task Force and IMPD.
